Saint Germain and Rue de Rivoli

Tuesday, post Bastille Day, we slept in and tried to recover.  Sande, Kate and I went out shopping in the 6th arrondissement near Saint Germain in the afternoon.  Sande was successful in finding shoes and Kate always finds something when she goes back to the sales at Zara.  Here is a selfie with the Eglise de Saint-Germain-des-Prés barely visible in the background.
We were famished after shopping and decided it was a good day for Angelina's on the rue de Rivoli and some decadent hot chocolate.  You should have seen the long faces when we arrived at the restaurant and it was closed for renovation.  Where was Kate going to get her chocolate fix?
The only solution was to change gears and head to Pizza Pino for some good wood oven baked pizza with fresh tomatoes, goat cheese and honey drizzled on top.  On our way, we passed a café with cool chairs.  You can see Kate and me walking under the arcade along the rue de Rivoli in the background.
