Loire Valley-Blois

Chateau de Blois was our Saturday morning destination in the Loire Valley.
Chateau de Blois
Louis XII lived in this chateau with Anne de Bretagne.  His symbol was the porcupine and Anne's was the ermine.

Blois and the Loire

After touring the chateau, we had time to wander around the town of Blois and get some lunch.  It was Saturday--market day in Blois.  We enjoyed wandering around the market and  took advantage of the cheaper prices outside of Paris to pick up some produce for Sunday dinner.
