La grève continues but things are getting a little better. Our #8 métro line stayed open in the middle of the day today for the first time, rather than being open only during the morning and evening rush hours. However, sometimes we had to wait up to 30 minutes for a train to arrive-and you can imagine how packed the cars were when the métro did arrive.
Our first stop was the shop Merci.

After Merci we took advantage of our long wait for the métro to watch the poster man hang a new poster for Uber Eats. He worked in sections. First he scraped off the old poster and let it fall to the ground. Then he'd put up a section and smooth it with a brush to get out any bubbles.

Once he finished the poster, there was a strip along the bottom that the new poster did not cover. So he pulled out some plain white strips to add at the bottom.

Finally, he had to gather up the scraps of the old poster he had scraped off. Notice he forgot and left behind one of the strips of white paper he was putting along the bottom.

He gathered up his ladder, bucket and paper and he was off in one fell swoop.

Remember the piece of white paper he left behind? Jenny took it off before it dried and threw it away. We didn't want his hard work to have any blemishes.
By the way, the poster advertises using Uber Eats to order a cheeseburger or "cheese" at 3 am.
I watch the posters go up and go down at the museum. It really is an art in itself. Are you planning on using Uber Eats for one of those cheeseburgers?
ReplyDeleteHaha. I wouldn't even know how to use UberEats! But we did have a cheeseburger at McDonald's by the Versailles train station after the temple and it was sooo much better than the US version.
