Frozen Paris

We thought we were going to be able to handle the frigid temperatures in Paris, but this is getting ridiculous.  It just won't end!  It's been almost two weeks of below freezing temperatures every day and our noses are red and our toes are frozen.  It is a damp cold and windy and feels like 15 degrees.
The students have had to resort to drastic measures to get warm.  In the living room of our apartment, we don't just have a couple of lightweight throws.  We have brought out two fluffy duvets that the students burrow under to get warm.  And then they promptly fall asleep.  Here are a few of the pictures we have captured lately.

We hope this weather ends soon but it will probably be here until next week.  Kelly, Kate and I are headed to Geneva for the optional travel weekend tomorrow.  Some students are going warmer places like Nice and Florence.  We all just want Spring to arrive!

  1. Oh I have slept on that red couch many-a-time! Happy, happy memories!

  2. Remember how fast Megan would fall asleep on that couch? And she didn't even need the warm duvet to sleep under. You and Allison also enjoyed a snooze on that couch often. New couches and a new kitchen are the next projects on the list for the apartment this summer. We'll be happy and sad to see that comfy red couch go.
